Online BlackJack Switch Review! Posted on Apr 13, 2006 - 9:40PM Today I was bored and decided to do a little review on the almighty-BlackJack Switch which is a BlackJack alternative that is currently only offered at playtech casinos and in a few select casinos in Las Vegas. BlackJack Switch is an amazing game for the player with virtually zero house advantage IF you follow the correct playing decisions via strategy card. Blackjack switch is definetly a sure winner in the casino if you like to play your odds in the casino, the player actually has a very small advantage over the house after you figure in the player comps! BlackJack Switch lets the you the player do what is normally illegal/cheating by allowing the trading cards between two BlackJack hands. The player must make two equal size bets on the BlackJack Switch hands, this allows the player to switch the second card dealt from each hand. I am sure you are thinking this BlackJack Switch is all great but it does suffer several drawbacks as well, a dealer in BlackJack Switch can draw a to 22 and this results in a push and the BlackJacks only pay even money. Overall this is pretty fun game to play and knowing you are playing the game with the best odds in the house is comforting and makes it more fun! Here are a list of rules that are associated with playing BlackJack Switch. -Las Vegas Rules: -All rules are based on regular blackjack unless noted otherwise. -Eight decks are used. -Dealer hits a soft 17. -The player must make two bets of equal size. -Cards will be dealt face up. -Dealer will peek for blackjack with an ace or ten up. If the dealer has a blackjack all player hands will immediatley lose, except a player blackjack will push. -The player may switch the 2nd card dealt to each hand. For example if one hand has 5,10 and the other has 10,6 the player may switch the 10 and 6 to have two hands of 11 and 20. The player may also switch cards to form a blackjack. -Player may double on any 2 cards. -Player may double after a split. -Player may resplit up to four hands. -Winning player blackjacks pay even money. -A dealer total of 22 will push against any player total of 21 or less. A player blackjack will still beat a dealer 22. Playtech Rules -The Playtech rules are the same as those in Las Vegas except as follows. -Six decks are used. -Dealer does not peek for blackjack. -Player may only split once. Check the "Good Sites" list at the top of the page and all of the playtech casinos have BlackJack Switch, so go give BlackJack Switch a try and leave a comment in the forum on your experiance with it! --Jason-- |
